Earth have become inhabitable and humanity is struggling to survive. Natural crops don't grow anymore and whichever grow are ending one by one to grow as well. Scientists guess that last crop corn will end after few years and humanity will starve to death by hunger.
There's dust storms everywhere and every other day.
it's a normal day, Cooper is going with his daughter Murph and son Tom for parents-teacher meeting. On way they see an Indian Air force drone flying down . Tom drive to stay in course with drone and Cooper hacks it and brings down to use it for solar energy for crops.
After parents teacher meeting, they go to watch ballgame match where due to a intense dust storm , everyone leave. they put on their masks and get home. Cooper and Murph get to her room where they find Morse code on floor formed due to gravity.
Cooper decodes it and writes in a diary as coordinates.
They get to these coordinates and find out that it's NASA which is working secretly now. Doctor Brand is head of last mission for which he wants Cooper to be pilot since he is only trained pilot left.
He accepts. Murph doesn't want him to leave since in space time works as hours for years on earth and when he return she might be his age or even older. Tho he leaves along Doctor Brand's daughter and two other astronauts.10 years ago NASA had sent 12 probes to 12 different planets to find if anyone of them is habitable for humanity as their next home. Their mission is to go to those scientist's planets and check what they concluded which includes Miller's planet ,
Mann's planet and Edmund's planet. They travel through a wormhole near Saturn and get into another galaxy in no time. They get to Miller's planet on their plane Endurance. Their shuttle lands on water in Miller's planet and they collect his probe while whole mountain of waves can kill them there. One of them lefts behind and others leave planet and get onto Endurance. On Miller's planet , every hour was equal to 7 years on earth and they spent few hours due to waves. When they get back one of them is got older after waiting for them for 23 years.
Miller's planet is inhabitable,so they collect data about Mann's planet and get to him. They awake him from hibernation. He gives them fake data that his Planet is habitable. He tries to kill Cooper and take Endurance to get himself back to Earth. One of them dies in an explosion in Mann's tent. Doctor Mann tries to get onto Endurance but due to unauthorized docking , his ship explodes and it sets endurance on orbit towards the black hole. Cooper uses their ship's left of fuel in matching Endurance's speed and does a very risky docking but successfully and
Endurance is stable again. They decide to use Black Hole's pull to give their ship push for their journey to Edmund's planet. Since Endurance is low on fuel. Their robot marine Tars and Cooper separates themselves from Endurance and his shuttle falls into black hole. He gets in darkness of black hole , shuttle explodes after not enduring it's resistance, he safe jumps and falls into a 5 dimensions physical time space.
Which is based on Murph's room. He can see her through here. Now he understands that humanity can be saved since they have got data which Doctor Brand and now Murph need to solve equation. He uses Morse and Binary codes to Murph by using dropping books and dots and dashes on his watch which Murph have .
Murph finally understands that her ghost is her father communicating from another dimension. Murph solves expression and humanity is saved. After he sent message, black hole started changing and when he woke up , world is now habitable and very advance.
Murph has got old and she passes away.
Murph told Cooper that Brand is alone and making her own home at faraway place so he takes a jet and gets to her.
